Good People Good Times kicked off yesterday as people arrived at Explore Brown County for a weekend of art & music in the hills of Brown County. As the music prepared to start festival MC Max Allen grabbed the mic to introduce each act. This is a special festival with a vibe of peace, family, and happiness. When you arrive on the grounds you can feel the vibe throughout no matter if you are in the campgrounds, stages area, at the lake, or in the woods surrounding. Todays lineup included favorites like Shaggy Wonda, Funky Junk, The Main Squeeze. and Ekoostik Hookah. The father of this festival, Derick Howard, took the stage to impress as Indiana's one man band and not only impressed but electrified the crowd. Despite the shortness of his original set, Jaik Willis included the very special set in front of the stage with-in the crowd. Festival goers interacted with him like no other for a set that you could not of gotten at any other festival. Blue Moon Soup sent us back to out camping areas with a great set that concluded day one as a success. And left us waiting to see what day two would bring.
